Sound Dead Steel was asked to reduce the noise from a Volvo Penta powered crushing machine which was operating in the open air but was just 5m from a neighbouring factory wall Reduction in noise from phase one is a superb reduction from 94.5 to 81.9dB(a)
In power terms this is a reduction of 1270% in the noise, and the harsh penetrating frequencies have been reduced significantly.
A full frequency analysis which shows the before and after reductions achieved by phase one, as well as a video are shown on the Sound Dead Steel website.
Phase two involves designing a super silent exhaust system, with the intention of lowering the 104dB(a) currently banging out down to acceptable levels.
News of this will be released as soon as the installation is completed. Request free introductory details about products from SoundDeadSteel.com ...
