The SY018 load cell amplifier from Synectic Design is the prime choice of numerous instrumentation engineers.

The SY018 load cell amplifier from Synectic Design is the prime choice of numerous instrumentation engineers.

It is recognised for high quality performance, reliability and diversity.

Since its introduction, a number of years ago all SY018 load cell amplifiers have been 100% reliable.

The SY018 has proven to be extremely robust, even in the most demanding and extreme conditions.

Examples of such situations firstly include the control of deep-sea drilling equipment - experiencing some of the most severe weather conditions.

Secondly, SY018 load cell amplifiers have been used in Formula One racing cars to accurately monitor wheel position; in this application the SY018 experiences high temperatures and extreme vibration.

In various situations SY018 amplifiers have operated continuously, with only a typical performance error less than 0.1%.

The SY018 is very easily connected between the input and output devices via simple external rising clamp terminals - without the need to open up the casing.

The unit is also easily mounted onto a standard DIN rail.

Synectic's SY018 amplifier can be connected to a wide variety of input or output devices.

Any type of load cell input is accepted and a data logger, computer or any other Synectic Design device etc can be used as an output.

The SY018 amplifier offers an extremely wide bandwidth from 250Hz to 5kHz.

It is available with either voltage (+/-10V) or current (4-20mA) output with excellent stability between 0 to 70C (voltage out 50uV/C and current out 20nA/C).

The amplifier is powered by a nominal 24V DC (17 to 30V), with an input diode to protect the unit against a reverse polarity connection.

A mains powered option has been introduced recently.
