After numerous years of experience in the load cell and strain gauge signal amplification market, Synectic Design has developed a totally universal amplifier.

After numerous years of experience in the load cell and strain gauge signal amplification market, Synectic Design has developed a totally universal amplifier.

This makes ordering and delivery much quicker as the customer's required options and settings no longer need to be set by the company's technical team.

The unit is relatively low cost too, particularly considering its versatility.

The SY038 is supplied as a DIN rail mount cased flame resistant unit, designed to be powered from an industry standard 24V power supply.

As such power supplies are known to vary significantly (to as high as 30V), the SY038 has been designed to provide full functionality easily within the range of 17-30V - one of its many market leading benefits.

The unit is available in two variations: the SY038I with 4-20mA current output; and the SY038V with voltage output.

To avoid previously encountered problems when designers are unsure as to their amplifier sensitivity requirements, the new SY038 provides fine adjustment (via easy to use switches) in the range from 0.25 to 4mV/V, insteps of just 0.25mV/V.

Now customers can buy a completely universal amplifier, rather than one that is only suitable for a particular function.

Synectic Design's SY038 amplifier can be connected to a wide variety of input or output devices.

Practically any type of transducer input is accepted and a data logger, computer or any other Synectic Design device etc can be used as an output.

Input and output devices are connected to the unit via simple external rising clamp terminals - without the need to open up the casing.

The SY038 is an amplifier that is suitable for a whole range of industries - process control, test and measurement, research and development and many more.

An added advantage is that it easy to use - not requiring a technical specialist to install.
