Stellar offers short-stroke precision LVDT

A Stellar Technology product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 15, 2010

Stellar Technology is offering the Series LSU61X short-stroke precision LVDT, which is suitable for applications where dynamic measurement is needed but where space is limited.

This DC/DC displacement sensor operates from unregulated power supplies of +24VDC to +40VDC or dual +/-12VDC to +/-20VDC.

The LSU61X utilises an internal amplifier to generate a +/-5VDC output signal and the internal electronics include a filter circuit.

The armature covers a stroke from +/-0.10in to +/-0.40in and is loose-fit (unguided) in the bore of the LVDT.

The precise alignment along the bore produces a frictionless movement and a long sensor life.

A linearity of +/-0.5 per cent is standard.

Linearities of +/-0.25 per cent or +/-0.1 per cent are available as options.

Both the body and the probe are constructed from stainless steel.

These units are shipped with traceable calibration certificates and are available now from USD390 (GBP260), according to Stellar Technology, an ISO9001:2000-certified company.
