Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 2, 2007

Spirol Industries has released three sizes of latch pins covering lengths from 18 to 75mm in six different types manufactured from low carbon steel or austenitic stainless steel.

Spirol Industries has introduced a new range of latch pins which have been designed for larger plastic hinge applications.

Three sizes are available covering lengths from 18 to 75mm in six different types manufactured from low carbon steel or austenitic stainless steel.

The HP400 latch pins will appeal to any organisation where plastic assemblies form part of a larger component.

They offer a number of benefits including a low insertion force which means no risk of damage to the host and no breakages during assembly.

Easy alignment of pin and hole is also ensured and once in position, a positive secure seating is provided.

A consistent hinge action aids product life by removing stresses.

Using Spirol's pin installation and automatic assembly equipment will also help to ensure that latch pins provide the lowest installed pin cost.

Latch pins are also available in customised versions to suit specific manufacturing requirements and Spirol's design team can provide full application advice.
