Sensortechnics' new "2-in-1" ultra-low pressure sensor offers measurement of two different pressures in one single package, and allows OEMs to reduce board space and save design time

Sensortechnics' new "2-in-1" ultra-low pressure sensor offers measurement of two different pressures in one single package.

Pressure ranges are available between 1 mbar to 75 mbar differential or gauge and 20 mbar to 1000 mbar gauge or absolute.

Customers can specify both of the pressure sensor elements according to their application.

"2-in-1" pressure sensors are based on latest ASIC compensation and calibration technology.

Typical applications include gas analysis equipment, medical ventilators and anaesthetic systems.

Important features of the new "2-in-1" ultra-low pressure sensor are: * Two pressure ranges to be specified: Pressure 1 from 0 - 1 mbar to 0 - 75 mbar differential or gauge; and Pressure 2 from 0 - 20 mbar to 0 - 1000 mbar absolute or gauge.

* Precision temperature compensated and calibrated.

* Very low warm-up and long term stability error.

* Amplified output signals ranging 0.25 - 4.25 V or 2.25 - 2.0 V.

* Industry standard moulded glass filled nylon housing.

* Virtually no position sensitivity.

The new "2-in-1" sensor incorporating two different pressure sensors in a single package allows OEMs to reduce board space and save design time.

Packing two sensors into one also significantly decreases the dead volume and increases accuracy by placing both sensor elements in the same thermal and mechanical environment.

The new "2-in-1" ultra-low pressure sensor is available now.
