Unshielded 30mm plastic capacitive proximity sensor for the OEM market has normally open PNP output, power-on LED and signal LED.

Stedham Electronics has introduced a 30mm plastic capacitive proximity sensor for the OEM market.

The unshielded sensor has a normally open PNP output, a power-on LED and a signal LED.

"Our customers told us that when their machines need trouble-shooting out in the field, the LED indicators on our sensors help them isolate and fix the problems," said company founder and CEO David Stedham.

"It was clear our task was to figure out how to incorporate this and still meet the price target".

These sensors are available with no quantity restrictions and cost $25 each.

"We designed a highly reliable and rugged sensor," said Stedham.

"These applications typically do not require a sensor with an adjustable sensing distance".

"Nor do they operate at the typical temperature extremes for which our standard sensors are designed".
