New developments in drying systems on
display

The new Turbo Blower provides an instant source of independent air for Powerstrip drying systems, as well as having enhanced levels of performance and being virtually maintenance-free

Secomak, the specialist air movement division of Klaxon Signals, will be showing its innovative drying equipment at this year's PPMA show at the ExCel Centre, London Among the items on show will be the company's air knife demonstration display, its Powerstrip drying system, Thermoshrink sleeve tunnel, and the new Turbo Blower

This high velocity blower provides an instant source of independent air for Powerstrip drying systems, plus, the company claims, has enhanced levels of performance and is virtually maintenance-free.

The Powerstrip system now incorporates a unique two-wire container guidance system.

This allows the air knives to be positioned as close as possible to the product, resulting in more efficient drying compared to the original guard rails which could disrupt air flow, leaving the product wet in some areas.

Also available with the Powerstrip system is a new feature that removes all moisture from the tops of cans.

This is designed to eliminate corrosion and cracking which can occur if moisture is left on can tops.

Thermoshrink is a range of hot air tunnels designed specifically for sleeve and capsule shrinking.

The heat shrinking system employs electric heaters combined with a recirculating air system and a complete range of adjustments.

Applications include decoration and temper evidence sleeving, and promotional banding.

All tunnels within the range are equally suitable for use on production lines with hand application of sleeves or on lines with automatic application machinery.

Secomak also offer custom-built tunnels to meet individual customer specification.

Secomak air knives use low pressure, high velocity air to remove moisture, dust and waste material from almost any surface.

They are ideal for drying bottles and cans, tubes and extrusions, sheet material, components or any other products which need to be dried externally.

Energy costs can also be cut by up to 90% compared to other drying methods. Request a free brochure from Secomak ...
