Sensopart reckons it has improved on proven technology with the new universal SmartPlug.

The highly successful range of integrated SmartPlug timers, counters, frequency controllers and polarity inverters has proved to be an invaluable tool for engineers and machine designers the world over.

Sensopart has now improved on this proven technology with the new universal SmartPlug.

The new universal SmartPlug is programmed via an "onboard" infra-red communication chip.

The settings are "beamed" to the SmartPlug by either a Palm PDA or the IR port on any standard laptop PC.

The information can also be "read" from any SmartPlug and saved to disc or memory.

Software is free from the Sensopart website.

This new technology is proving extremely beneficial to customers.

SmartPlugs can now be programmed to precise millisecond time delays and the programs quickly copied to other plugs without any wiring work.

Additionally the plugs can be programmed with multiple functions such as a counting program followed by a time delay.

Being universal, the same plug can be configured to perform timing, counting and/or frequency control.

The input polarity can also be changed from PNP to NPN, thus drastically reducing the amount of parts required to cover all eventualities.
