Device server gains Modbus functionality
The EtherPAD Lite industrial serial device server is now available with Modbus slave bridge functionality.
The EtherPAD Lite industrial serial device server is now available with Modbus slave bridge functionality The EtherPAD Lite is a single-port serial device server providing a software selectable RS232, RS422 or RS485 serial interface and a 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface
It can be used as a stand-alone, DIN rail or 19in rack mount product.
As this product is popular in the industrial automation environment, with its robust aluminium housing, DIN rail form factor, and 24V power supply, SAN People has now added support for Modbus/ASCII and Modbus/RTU serial protocols, and Modbus/TCP and Modbus/UDP network protocols.
The EtherPAD Lite supports SNMP, as well as serial and web browser based configuration.
New firmware to enable Modbus support can be downloaded from the SAN People website.
