Catalogue covers industrial finishing solutions
"Industrial finishing solutions" is the title of a newly published brochure from Sames that provides the reader with a good overview of the company and its products.
It is claimed to be quicker and more consistent than manual spraying, and it affords a cleaner, safer environment.
Thanks to electrostatic technology, it promises a typical saving of 80 per cent on paint consumption compared to existing methods of application.
Stop and Go has been designed specifically for all box-shaped commercial vehicles - vans, cabs, coaches and buses.
The programmable system comprises a track-driven gantry on which are mounted Sames' proven PPH 607 Bell Sprayers, arranged to suit the application.
Said to be suitable for use with most major plc models, the company's latest generation of Easypaint software allows easy, menu-driven programming.
The electrostatic guns, with in-built high voltage cascade, can be used with either solvent or water-based paints and provide a consistent, blemish-free finish; such a high quality finish on commercial vehicle roofs is particularly difficult to achieve by manual spraying.
The efficiency of the PPH 607 gun cuts VOC emissions and causes far less overspray than manual alternatives.
That in turn significantly reduces paint waste and the need for extensive booth cleaning.
Supplied as a turnkey spray booth or in component-form to upgrade an existing installation, Stop and Go may be specified with guns that are either directly or externally charged.
The system can also accommodate a manual station for any touching-in that may be required claimed Sames.
