Severn Unival has been selected to provide a total valve management service for the control and choke valve population for all CNR's assets in the UK North Sea.
Severn Unival (the control valve engineering and aftermarket support services subsidiary of Severn Glocon) has been selected to provide a total valve management service for the control and choke valve population for all CNR's assets in the UK North Sea.
CNR International (UK), a subsidiary of Canadian Natural Resources, operates a significant number of established production facilities in the Northern and Central North Sea including Ninian, Murchison, Banff, Kyle, Tiffany and Balmoral.
The scope of this prestigious North Sea contract encompasses maintenance, stock management and purchasing functions for existing and new valves, using the full range of ISO EN9001 and PED accredited workshop, on-site, technical and engineering services offered by Severn Unival.
The initial approach taken by CNR was to identify and select a single specialist contractor capable of offering a total range of repair and management services for all valve types.
However in view of Severn Unival's unrivalled experience, a decision was made by CNR to separate the control and choke valves into a specialist support package.
Severn Unival spokesman Alan Wright explained: "Severn Unival's experience in the operation and maintenance of these two critical valve groups is unrivalled".
"Our proven expertise is in the field of valve application/design engineering, nonintrusive diagnostics, failure mode/effect analysis, criticality surveys and data capture to develop an enhanced, safe working environment".
