CD-ROM makes the case for plasticating systems
A new CD-ROM quickly assimilates the processing parameters of plasticating systems so that proven recommendations for maximising profits through process optimisation can be provided.
According to Spirex president Paul T Colby: "Our product line includes the highest quality screws, barrels, valves and nozzles.
But more importantly, our 25 years of expertise in the industry enables us to know how components can best work together within a complete, superior plasticating system to provide our customers optimum performance and maximum profitability".
The new literature also provides very specific information about the relationship of complete plasticating systems to specific resin use, the parameters of proper processing, and the effective use of screws, barrels and front-end system components.
Several actual case studies, included in the brochure, document through real applications, the quantifiable ability of optimised processing to pay for itself, often in only days.
The brochure also details many examples from within the Spirex service and support structure.
For example: Spirex was the first manufacturer in its industry with an in-house testing lab and remains one of the few plasticating component manufacturers with its own in-house testing facilities.
The Spirex lab has grown into a stand-alone facility housing injection machines and extrusion lines - including a sheet line - dedicated to solving client challenges.
Rheology testing and other analysis, as well as work on a range of auxiliary equipment can be conducted in-house.
Spirex's professional lab staff is drawn from a range of engineering and plastics processing backgrounds.
Technology partners such as DuPont, Twinshot Technologies, and the SJ Chen Extrusion Laboratories at U Mass Lowell, continually contribute new ideas for optimising the processes of Spirex customers.
