Spirex Corporation has signed a new global manufacturing, marketing and sales agreement with DuPont for the ELCee screw design.

This updates a prior agreement and benefits plastics processors through significantly lower competitive pricing on the ELCee screw design.

Users can now optimise their plastic processes with a high performance screw at a general purpose price.

The cumulative benefits go well beyond price, however.

From a production standpoint the ELCee screw is the highest performance, single flighted screw for precompounded resins and provides reduced screw recovery time, resulting in faster injection cycles.

The ELCee screw also reduces quality problems related to melt over shearing.

Designs can be tailored for a variety of thermoplastic applications and patented Spirex mixing sections can be added when applications require dispersive or distributive mixing.
