In the decade since opening a subsidiary in the Minato-ku district of Tokyo, Sescoi has managed to attract every Japanese car maker to its WorkNC automatic CAD/CAM software To mark the 10th anniversary, Sescoi Japan is offering either a free PC or a 10 month floating licence for the purchase of one WorkNC licence (conditions apply)

The subsidiary was opened in October 1995 so the company could be closer to existing and potential customers in Japan and surrounding territories.

As well as all the Japanese automobile makers, customers include companies in industries as diverse as aerospace, telecoms and electronic goods.

WorkNC is used by at least a quarter of all members of the Japanese Die and Mould Industry Association, and a recent survey by the Nikkan Kogyo newspaper among a sample of automotive die and mould makers revealed that WorkNC is the most popular CAM system within this industry.

Sescoi's integrated management software for custom manufacturers - Workplan - has also been adopted by some Japanese mould and toolmakers.

The Sescoi Japan office employs 18 staff to deliver technical support as well as on site R and D to meet local needs.

It provides a training programme and regularly organises seminars.
