Rotary air gripper combines gripping and rotating functions, which saves space and simplifies wiring and piping.

SMC Corporation has announced the release of the MRHQ rotary air gripper The MRHQ rotary air gripper is in stock and available for immediate shipment from SMC's distribution centre in Indianapolis

The MRHQ rotary air gripper integrates gripping and rotating functions, which saves space and simplifies wiring and piping.

The vane style rotary drive mechanism allows for a very compact cross section enabling access into tight spaces.

The gripper jaws are guided using high precision and high rigidity ball bearing guides.

The gripper is designed to allow for easy mounting and adjustment of SMC's extensive selection of position sensing switches.

Mounting holes are locating on all sides allowing the rotary gripper to be installed from virtually any angle.

Dowel-pin holes and reference diameters are integrated into the rotary gripper body, improving mounting repeatability.

Rotation angle adjusters are standard.

The MRHQ rotary gripper is available in four sizes with a range of gripping forces and rotation angles.

Rotation angles of 90 or 180 degrees are offered.

Both double and single acting (with spring extend or retract) versions are available.

Gripping forces range up to 140N.

Gripper jaw opening/closing strokes range from 4 to 14mm.

The operating ambient/fluid temperature range is -10 to +60C.

Unit weights range from 305g for the smallest size, up to 1566g for the largest sise.

Maximum operation frequency is 180 cycles per minute.

MRHQ grippers are designed to meet or exceed a life of 10 million operating cycles when properly used within specifications.
