Caterpillar has selected Safe Technology's fe-safe as its company standard durability analysis package.

Caterpillar has selected Safe Technology's fe-safe as its company standard durability analysis package.

fe-safe will replace Caterpillar's in-house code over the next 12 months and be implemented into the design process in over 10 business units world-wide.

fe-safe has advanced technical capabilities such as high temperature fatigue analysis, grey iron fatigue analysis, statistical analysis and the ability to simulate complex loading conditions.

Also, leading-edge multiaxial fatigue analysis capabilities in fe-safe ensure the highest levels of prediction accuracy whilst still maintaining ease of use.

fe-safe is an advanced durability analysis software suite for finite element models.

It is developed and supported by Safe Technology.

John Draper, Safe Technology's Managing Director, explained: "This contract marks another step in confirming world-wide recognition of Safe Technology as a leading provider of durability software".
