Fatigue analysis aids mathematical simulation
Safe Technology's newly released fe-safe LE suite of fatigue analysis software for finite element models is to be incorporated into the mathematical simulation software AVL Excite.
A technology update in key areas of fatigue analysis such as multi-axial fatigue, effects of temperature, notch sensitivity and residual stresses will be provided.
The seminar will cover: an introduction to modern methods of metal fatigue analysis; theory overview of uni-axial and multi-axial fatigue; case studies and tools demonstrations; an introduction to using fe-safe with FE software; and highlights of advanced and unique capabilities in fe-safe such as a fully integrated signal processing capability, high temperature and creep fatigue, fe-rotate, analysis of complex loading histories.
The seminar will be presented by Prof John Draper, CEO at Safe Technology and a recognised authority in fatigue design and life assessment in the aerospace and ground-vehicle industries.
He is a regular presenter at conferences and seminars worldwide.
In 2004 he presented at the Abaqus and Ansys World User Conferences.
Prof Draper is the author of the book "Modern metal fatigue analysis" (to be published in 2005) and has taught modern metal fatigue analysis courses to such organisations as Caterpillar, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Rolls Royce Aerospace and Medtronic.
Refreshments and lunch will be served.
