Fatique tester complements simulation software

A Safe Technology product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 20, 2008

The integration of Excite Fatigue into AVL's durability and NVH analysis platform provides users with the simulation capabilities needed to gain reliable results within a short project lead time.

AVL has released the Excite Fatigue tool, designed to complete the workflow for durability analysis of engines and power units based on the Excite simulation software suite.

Excite Fatigue is powered by fe-safe fatigue analysis software.

Excite Fatigue has been designed to provide an efficient and accurate fatigue analysis capability for high cycle fatigue conditions.

The user is able to apply a range of loading conditions, choose from a selection of stress-based fatigue algorithms and use the standard fe-safe materials database.

Users will also be able to define different materials and influence factors for different element groups.

high-temperature fatigue analysis is included.

The system provides optimised design and test programmes, as well as reduced prototype test times, product recalls and warranty costs.

The integration of Excite Fatigue into AVL's durability and NVH analysis platform provides users with the simulation capabilities needed to gain reliable results within a short project lead time.

It enables the users to calculate excitation loads close to actual loads and perform advanced fatigue analysis for engine components integrated in the design process.
