A new series of socket-drive fasteners designed to fix and finish in one step has been introduced by Seac to extend its Polytop screw range.

All sizes and gauges of Polytop socket drive screws are now available with a new format six-point hex head in over 40 colours.

This is in addition to the existing 12-point head screw which has an atypical bi-hex head for tamper resistance.

A one-piece fastener with an injection-moulded, self-coloured head, Polytop screws can be used in visible positions where ordinary screws or bolts would need painting or capping.

These fasteners can be used on assembly lines employing electric or air-powered wrenches where single-step fixing and finishing cuts production time and costs.

The tough polymer resists fading and is resistant to most chemicals, including petrol and alkalis.

The high precision moulded polymer head means that Polytop products are also resistant to corrosion so can be used for indoor and outdoor applications.

All screw types can be specified in zinc-plated steel and A2 or A4 stainless steel.

Self-tapping and wood screws come in 6, 8 and 10 gauge; machine screws in M4 and M5; self-drilling screws in 8 gauge.
