Volume measurement for conveyor lines
Sensor Consultants' new Dynamic Volume Measuring Window is capable of measuring the volume of an object (box, bag, pallet etc.) as it passes down a conveyor line.

As the object leaves, information on width, length, area and perimeter measurements is also available.
The output is RS232 which can for example be fed to a PC etc.
Various window sizes are available from 500mm x 500mm to 2000mm x 2000mm and as the modules are 500mm in length, a window of any combination within these 500mm - 2000mm sizes is possible.
Applications include automated stores, carriers, airports, post offices etc.
