Seals stick to their tasks

A Silicone Fabrication Services product story

An increased range of both solid and sponge silicone rubber gaskets as well as fabricated seals such as joined rings are now available.

An increased range of both solid and sponge silicone rubber gaskets as well as fabricated seals such as joined rings are now available from Silicone Fabrication Services with the company's specially developed 'tapeless' adhesive system.

This directly applied adhesive system eliminates the use of a tape carrier and allows use at operating temperatures of up to 180C, which is claimed to be higher than possible with standard adhesive tapes.

Water resistant and therefore permitting its use for IP65/66 rated seals, the adhesive can also be applied to conductive gaskets for shielding applications.

By reducing gasket installation times, this adhesive system can cut production and end-user costs without losing the sealing benefits of silicone rubber, including chemical and weathering resistance, good temperature stability and easy pigmentation.

Adhesive-backed silicone rubber gaskets are a cost-effective sealing solution in many applications from exterior lighting, white goods and electronic enclosures to automotive and mass transport applications.
