Larger bore for hygenic hoses

A Silicone Fabrication Services product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 25, 2003

Large bore hygienic hoses made from FDA approved silicone rubber are now available covering sizes from 25 to 204mm.

Silicone Fabrication Services has an extended range of large bore hygienic hoses made from FDA approved silicone rubber and now covering sizes from 25 to 204mm.

Also offered in lengths up to 4m as an alternative to the standard 1m length, the hose is reinforced with polyester fabric and features a smooth bore that prevents the possibility of the build-up of product or bacteria.

SFS can also reinforce the hose with a wire-helix that enables it to withstand very high pressures and means it will not collapse.

This hose can have either a smooth outer or a convoluted outer that allows it to flex.

Silicone rubber has the additional benefit of excellent chemical stability, and the hoses are ideal for connecting vessels or as discharge lines in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Assemblies can be supplied complete with swaged-on fitting to suit user requirements.
