Printer and software make cable labelling faster

A Silver Fox product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 11, 2004

Silver Fox's Legend L6 labels have been known as a highly durable and flexible two-part cable and core labelling solution; now a desktop printer and software make labelling faster and easier.

Over the last decade Silver Fox's Legend L6 labels have been known as a highly durable and flexible two-part cable and core labelling solution.

This system consists of a clear plastic sleeve with two recesses, one that is passed over the cable prior to termination and the other recess is for an easy-to-insert ident strip, using a narrow lead-in strip.

Previously the ident strip would have been printed using a dot matrix printer, but now Silver Fox is proud to announce that it has developed a thermal printing solution.

Using Silver Fox's new desktop thermal printer and cutting-edge 32 bit Labacus Innovator E and I software, it offers the opportunity to print core and cable markers in the shortest time with the minimum of effort.

This advancement is not just restricted to the L6 range of labels; the software and printer have been developed so anybody can take advantage of the quicker printing with Silver Fox's LM (tie on) labels and soon-to-be-released heat shrink range.
