SGS performs analysis service after pipe explosion

A SGS SA - Industrial Services product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 10, 2009

After an explosion caused by a piping-related failure, SGS Industrial performed a suitability-for-service analysis of the subject facility, located in England.

The analysis involved inspecting and reviewing more than 20,000 piping circuits.

The inspection identified multiple conditions that could have led to subsequent catastrophic failures at the facility.

These conditions were addressed by the facility, which was put back into operation once government officials were satisfied with its condition.
