SGS Industrial Services inspects tanks for conformity with all international construction codes and standards, such as API, BS, DIN, ASME, AD Merkblatter RTOD and is accredited to EN 45004/ISO 17020.
The company's scope of services covers conventional and advanced Non-Destructive Test (NDT) systems, integrated into its Asset Integrity Management Services, which is available in more than 30 countries worldwide.
To minimise inspection time, SGS often combines testing methods, in the case of tank inspection, Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) with Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
By using these two techniques, corrosion is effectively detected and reliably quantified.
