SGS SA Industrial Services is offering its customers a pre-shipment inspection and certification service covering equipment or materials.
SGS will inspect quality and quantity, packing and marking and loading supervision.
A certificate of inspection can be provided against a letter of credit and authorised by a chamber of commerce.
For export to countries with import certification schemes, pre-shipment inspection is necessary to receive an import certificate.
Without this certificate the shipment will not clear customs in the destination country.
Pre-shipment inspection ensures goods arriving at their destination conform to the required specifications.
