Sarnatech BNL is targeting substantial growth in the worldwide automotive industry after a restructuring programme within its holding group.

Sarnatech BNL, the leading UK manufacturer of high-quality injection-moulded plastic parts for high-specification bearing and rotating parts assemblies is targeting substantial growth in the worldwide automotive industry after a restructuring programme within its holding group.

Owned by the Swiss Sarna Polymer Holdings organisation, the Knaresborough, North Yorkshire company has become a member of the group's Sarnamotive division.

BNL Sarnatech, which was founded in 1970, already has subsidiary sales and product design offices in America and Japan.

Sarnatech BNL's sales director Stephen Lusty said the company is looking to increase its automotive output to between 10%-15% of its turnover over the next three to four years.

"Our sales, product design and manufacturing operations will remain as an independent unit in Knaresborough but linking with and reporting through the Sarnamotive division, which has multiple site operations in Europe, the US and South America and supplies GM, Chrysler, BMW and Volkswagen, amongst others".

Lusty added: "We will continue at Sarnatech BNL to build on our strong positions in our other core markets in the business machine and electrical industries, whilst this development will strengthen our ability to penetrate other promising market sectors for further growth".
