Shell Macron EDM 4120 is a multi-application fine finishing fluid that has been specifically formulated with a high flash point to provide a safe working environment under high current conditions.

Macron EDM 4120, which has Rolls Royce approval CSS 142A, can be used in all oil based EDM and die sinking operations where a high quality surface finish or high stock removal is required.

Its excellent flushing capability also makes it ideal for any machining operations where very fine abrasive grits are used.

Typical non-EDM operations include tape finishing of bearing journals, grinding operations such as tool finishing and light duty honing.

Shell UK also manufactures Macron EDM 65; a water white, low odour mineral oil that provides excellent separation of eroded fines.

It is suitable for use on small holes and cavities; and for roughing work where moderate currents are employed.
