With higher viscosity than solvent-based packaging lubricants, it generates lower levels of oil vapour, creating a cleaner working environment.
The increased viscosity also lets operators reduce their lubricant consumption.
In field tests at a can manufacturer in Germany, the user reported a reduction of between 50 and 70% in lubricant volume used compared with its previous solvent-based product.
With its ability to maintain viscosity at high temperatures, the oil can help packaging operators reduce the costs and operational problems associated with oil thinning.
