Pilsa Plastic selects Shell Corena AS 68 lubricant

A Shell Lubricants product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 15, 2009

Pilsa Plastic has saved an estimated USD12,000 by using the Shell Corena AS 68 lubricant on its compressors.

The previous lubricant Pilsa used on its screw-type air compressor necessitated an oil-change interval of 5,000 hours, with the product demonstrating low thermal and oxidation stability.

Following an extensive consultation with Pilsa Plastic, the Shell Lubricants team offered technical training services, technical visits and an oil analysis and reporting system.

Shell also recommended Shell Corena AS 68, which can provide outstanding performance in any oil-flooded air screw or vane compressor.

Shell Corena AS 68 provides long oil life and effective lubrication in machines working in extreme temperatures and conditions.

Since introducing the lubricant, operational benefits for Pilsa Plastic have included an extension of oil-change intervals from 5,000 to 10,000 hours.

The extended oil-change intervals have also resulted in significant manpower savings.
