Seranit switch to Shell Tellus T 46 reduces costs

A Shell Lubricants product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 16, 2009

Seranit Granite has achieved estimated savings of USD21,000 (GBP12,800) by making use of technical services from Shell Lubricants and making the switch to Shell Tellus T 46.

Shell Tellus T 46 is a high-quality variable-temperature hydraulic oil.

At its site in Bilecik, Turkey, Seranit Granite had previously been using a lubricant supplied by a competitor for its tile press, which led to problems with its operations including frequent oil changes.

During this time, the company had not been offered oil and equipment monitoring by its lubricant supplier, to help identify and rectify the problem.

To address the issues that the company was facing, Shell Lubricants recommended the use of its Shell Lubeanalyst service, an in-depth oil analysis, as well as other services such as technical training and lubrication surveys.

The company also recommended a switch to Shell Tellus T 46.
