In anticipation of a strong market position across the North Sea, Severn Unival continues its strategy of gaining long term delivery partners in each of the North Sea Rim countries.
In anticipation of a strong market position across the North Sea, Severn Unival continues its strategy of gaining long term delivery partners in each of the North Sea Rim countries.
The company provides long term maintenance, repair and operational support to control valve users, ranging from technical consultancy, repair, upgrade and performance improvement to full valve management services.
Following an extensive review of the market dynamics and opportunities for the next five years, Severn Unival has collaborated with Multi Metaal of Den Helder to provide a consolidated market capability in The Netherlands.
Multi Metaal is well established, with a significant facility on the dockside in Den Helder.
This facility has extensive repair and overhaul capability for isolation and safety valves and an experienced workforce.
The Severn Unival collaboration adds control valve expertise, testing facilities and Unival's ISO9000 quality systems.
"This is a true example of a mutually beneficial agreement", says Colin Findlay, General Manager of Severn's Valve Management Services.
"We needed a presence in the Dutch market and a robust noncompetitive partner, while Multi Metaal were looking to create a stronger capability for the future and this collaboration meets all of our needs".
"Having signed the agreement, our integration programme will have our control valve services in the Netherlands fully operational by the end of August 2006".
