Silver foils made by Schlenk Metallfolien are manufactured using high-purity silver, such as Ag 99.97% and Ag 99.99%, and so can be used in making batteries of the highest quality.

When producing special batteries containing silver foils, it is important that the silver foils have a high purity, high electrical conductivity and a very clean and plain surface Silver foils made by Schlenk Metallfolien are manufactured using high-purity silver, such as Ag 99.97% and Ag 99.99%, and so can be used in making batteries of the highest quality

Additional advantages of Schlenk foils are the good flatness and the special cleaned surface for excellent bonding after the coating process as well as high electrical conductivity.

For example, silver type 99.97% has a minimum electrical conductivity of 63-66mohm-mm at 20C.

Narrow tolerances are standard.

The silver foils are also suitable for expanded metals and punched metal foils.

To fulfil customer needs for space saving in finished equipment and reductions in product weight and cost, thicknesses range down to 0.010mm, with standard foils available up to 0.100mm thick.

For customers special needs this thickness range can be increased up to a maximum thickness of 0.150mm on request.

The foils can be delivered in widths from 1 to 350mm.

In addition to battery production silver foils are used by the aviation industry for shielding very sensitive electronic equipment.

The cable industry uses silver foils for shielding of special cables for military and aviation applications.

In medical engineering, silver foils are taken for medical plasters, and in the food industry for coating pills and sweets.
