Safety interlock switch can never be bypassed
Schmersal (UK) have introduced a new range of safety interlock switches that are activated by an individually-coded, geometrically-unique, actuating key with 15,000 different combinations.
The range is ideal for applications in the chemical and petrochemical industries and in food milling, woodworking and processing plants where fine dust can lead to explosions.
Units are available for Zone 0 applications covering areas where explosive atmospheres are permanent or present for extended periods; Zone 1 for areas with occasional explosive atmospheres; and Zone 2 where explosive atmospheres are rare or present for short periods.
EEx Certification ensures that the appropriate Certificate of Conformity has been issued for every device, based on the European CENELEC standards EN50014.
