Console accessories keep hands from harm

Schmersal (UK) have introduced a new range of safety interlock switches that are activated by an individually-coded, geometrically-unique, actuating key with 15,000 different combinations.
Among the new and innovative products featured is a die-cast operating console with an ergonomic, fatigue-free design that allows the integration of up to eight control and signalling devices in the central area of the console, in addition to the emergency stop control device.
Also new is a height adjustable, mobile pedestal with a folded-panel design and mounting for single or double-pedal footswitches and/or buttons.
The ZHS range is ideal for setting-up and single-stroke operations close to hazardous areas, and for manual feed and withdrawal work in operations such as metal punching and presswork, and for operating machinery in chemical, and plastics and rubber processing facilities.
