Novel self-laminating laser labels are designed to cope with the increasingly harsh environments that network cabling has to tolerate.

Sharpmark Labeling Systems has developed new unique self-laminating laser labels designed to cope with the increasingly harsh environments that network cabling has to tolerate.

Cable labels spend their lives on twisted cables, exposed to high temperatures or harsh cooling, depending on their specific location within a site, so traditional cable labels are frequently pushed to their limits of adhesion.

Graham Barker, of Sharpmark USA, explains: "With these factors in mind, we worked closely with our customers and leading materials technologists to develop new vastly improved cable labels, which are unique in the industry".

"We looked outside the traditional range of materials and believe that we now have the best labels on the market anywhere in the world".

The new improved labels print well to give a high quality, crystal clear print that is easy to read and will run through laser printers without jamming.

They are thinner, more flexible and have upgraded adhesive for superb performance and greater adhesion in both normal and harsher environments.

The new labels, supplied on A4 sheets, are currently available in three sizes (SLL4L, SLL10L and SLL12L) for cables up to 12mm in diameter, and in six colours (red, blue, yellow, green, purple and orange) plus white.

They replace the existing range of labels in these sizes and are available at the same price.

"We have used innovation and new technology to improve our products and efficiency so that we can pass these benefits on to our customers at no extra cost".

Barker concluded: "The improved laser labels, combined with Sharpmark's versatile and easy to use label-printing software, provide a superb labelling solution for a wide range of applications".
