New from Schurter is the type 4707 fused power entry module.

Available with single- or double-pole slotted screw-type fuseholders for 5 x 20mm fuses the new module offers all of the features of the company's existing type 8842/43 device, but is more compact, and is rated to 10A.

The module's main advantage over its competitors is that the fuseholders are rated to IP65, making it ideal for applications in medical, industrial and test environments, where the fuseholders need to be protected against dust and jetting of water.

It also features shockproof PC2 fuseholders to guard against accidental shock when changing fuses.

The body of the 4707 inlet is made from UL94V0 thermoplastic, and the module can be screw mounted from the front or rear of a panel.

It is available with single or double fused options, and 6.3mm quick-fit terminals or solder tabs.

The inlet is designed to comply with EN 60320-1/C14, and is available in class I, class II on request.

The fuseholders meet IEC/EN 60127-6 and have a power acceptance at ambient air temperature Ta 23øC of 2x1.6W.

It is approved to VDE and CuRus for 250V/10A.
