This year's Altair Technology Conference will take place on 2nd November at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon.
The aim of the e-newsletter is twofold - to circulate useful information and to share good practice as widely as possible.
In the first issue are items about new developments by machining industry leaders Kennametal and Renishaw, plus information about CNC evening courses available at Shrewsbury College.
"Industry leaders, such as Renishaw, Kennametal and Romheld, have already invested over GBP 30,000 in our CNC shop", said Simons.
"Further investment will follow as we have been chosen by Renishaw as the only FE establishment among a number of leading universities to launch a new programme to industry".
"And we will also be among the hosts for 'Kennametal University' - a series of seminars on advanced cutting tools and techniques".
On the welding side, Kemppi, Gullco and Demmeler were three of the top companies taking part, making the most of an opportunity to meet Shropshire fabricators.
