Sira Test and Certification has formed an alliance to offer a one-stop shop facility for customers who are manufacturing electrical equipment for use in hazardous areas.
The training brochure details the duration, content and cost of the many courses on offer including: a new course on IEC61508 instrument protection systems; area classification; safe use of electrical equipment in hazardous areas; hazardous area legislation; overview of hazardous area electrical equipment; and gas hazards - confined space/vessel entry and hot work gas testing.
These courses are held at Sira's Chislehurst Site and Sira can also provide hazardous area training courses at customers' premises.
This allows the course to be individually tailored to the customer's needs, meeting the specific requirements of the site and also ensures that work schedules are subject to minimum disruption.
Sira has introduced the new course on IEC61508, which is particularly suited for on-site delivery, for managers and engineers who are involved in the functional safety of electrical electronic and programmable electronic safety systems.
Each course is run by skilled, professional staff from Sira who are experts in the field of hazardous area technology.
Many of the courses featured in the training brochure deal with 'hands-on' training and practical interaction, with a strong emphasis on the link between technical excellence and commercial reality.
