Trials of the new instrument at the UK's national physical laboratory (where Sira was involved in the development of the primary gravimetric hygrometer) are showing positive results.
Sira expects to bring an improved service online later this year.
Sira's, UKAS-accredited humidity laboratory can provide a wealth of experience and in-depth technical and industrial knowledge of calibration and instrumentation.

The UKAS-accredited laboratory can calibrate all widely available hygrometers, under varying temperature, humidity and pressure conditions to show accurate results under actual conditions of use.
There is also an on-site calibration and consultancy service for specific humidity measurement problems and it is also possible for Sira to calibrate hygrometer temperature outputs at the same time.
All types of humidity measurement equipment can be tested under almost any condition including dew point hygrometers, relative humidity probes and psychrometers.
Sira's accredited scope in dewpoint and relative humidity measurement is the most exacting and extensive in the UK.
In addition to temperature measurement services Sira also offers a comprehensive service for companies with a large range of equipment as well as a broad range of training courses in calibration.
