Sira has recently completed an ATEX certification project on behalf of Siemens Flow Instruments.

Sira has recently completed an ATEX certification project on behalf of Siemens Flow Instruments.

The project involved certifying a range of electromagnetic flowsensors to meet ATEX requirements prior to the merging of the former Danfoss Flow Division into Siemens Process Instrumentation.

The certification needed completion within the record period of one month, in order for the formal transfer to take place.

Ben Weager, Engineering Manager at Siemens Flow Instruments explains: "Sira was the only certification body to guarantee completion of the certification project within such unusually tight timelines.

These kinds of projects normally take twelve or more weeks to complete.

Thanks to Sira we met the deadline and the acquisition by Siemens was successfully concluded".

Steve Lower, Business Director for Sira Safety Compliance Business comments: "This project highlighted how Sira can meet its clients' expectations even under extremely difficult circumstances.

We knew that it would be a very demanding project right from the beginning.

It was a challenge for us but we felt confident that we could achieve certification within the required timelines".
