Sira Test and Certification has formed an alliance to offer a one-stop shop facility for customers who are manufacturing electrical equipment for use in hazardous areas.
In addition, Sira is taking a more customised approach to training by encouraging customers to communicate their specific training needs via a fax-back form so that Sira can design specific programmes to suit their requirements.
Throughout 2004, Sira will be offering training courses such as: nontechnical sessions for senior managers and directors who may need to understand concepts and budgetary implications but may not need the technical detail; the commercial and legal implications of legislation and directives for managers who need a general knowledge of the standards in context of their liabilities; compliance with DSEAR and area classification for staff who have to carry out this work; and specialist courses providing technical detail for manufacturers of equipment or components who need to design to comply with the relevant standards.
The courses are available at Sira training centres in both Chester and Chislehurst.
However for companies wishing to have in-house delivery of training, this can be arranged.
