Sira has issued its 2000th product conformity certificate, and it is one of over 50 product certificates issued to intrinsically safe mining equipment manufacturer Joy Mining.

Sira has issued its 2000th product conformity certificate to Wigan-based Joy Mining.

Sira has been working with Joy Mining for the past four years.

It has issued over 50 product certificates for intrinsically safe mining equipment, for Joy, in the UK and the United States.

Mark Broxson, Joy Mining's quality and certification manager comments, "Our projects run smoothly and we find Sira's team approachable, flexible, and technically excellent".

Bob Cooper, general manager of Sira's Hazardous Area Centre adds, "Issuing our 2000th certificate is an important milestone, confirming Sira as a key player in the certification industry both in the UK and overseas.

Mining applications represent one of the fastest growing areas of our business and now account for around 20% of Sira's product certification activities.

The Joy/Sira partnership is a good example of an excellent working relationship delivering successful certification projects on time and to budget".
