Sira and Lloyd's Register Verification have entered an exciting agreement to meet the growing demand of manufacturers for a simple, easy-to-use route to EC product certification.

Customers will be provided with full compliance for up to 16 European Directives including ATEX.

The service will be delivered through the Lloyd's Register Group worldwide network and Sira's offices, following a clear commercial route.

Steve Lower, Sira's safety compliance business director, explains: "Both companies share a common approach to business by providing technical excellence at a cost-effective price.

"This strategic alliance marks an important step in extending our services outside the UK".

"By working closely with Sira, an established brand in the hazardous area business, Lloyd's Register Verification anticipates attracting contracts from both existing and new customers".

Simon Emeny, product conformity manager for Lloyd's Register Verification, comments: "This is a good opportunity for manufacturers, users, Sira and Lloyd's Register Verification.

"The overseas markets, particularly the USA, need a clear simple route to full EC compliance, which will enable companies to export products into Europe.

"This alliance enables this objective to be fulfilled in an easy, cost-effective way".
