The SL300 series from Signatrol is a range of compact and highly versatile data loggers which can be used for a wide range of applications within the food and allied industries.
The SL300 series from Signatrol is a range of compact and highly versatile data loggers which can be used for a wide range of applications within the food and allied industries.
The unit's main function is recording temperature but it can also be configured to record current and voltage.
The built in temperature sensor has a range from -40C to +85C while external sensors extend the range up to 270C.
Programming information and down loading of data is carried out via a remote optical link which downloads information into a PC.
Sampling rates can be set from 5 per second up to once every 12 hours, based on either a 'fill then stop' or 'first in first out' basis.
Delayed start times for logging can be programmed or the logging can be initiated at a specific time via the optical link The SL300 can be supplied in a fully sealed enclosure with a clear front which gives sealing to IP68 and allows the logger to be used in food processing, cleaning equipment, washing machines and other harsh environments.
The data can be down loaded through the clear panel without having to access the logger itself.
For example, such units have been successfully placed in jars of pickles and the temperature data accessed directly through the glass jar at the end of the cooking process.
