The SL700 series is a range of fully self contained portable data loggers with up to eight channels, ideal for monitoring and recording in food manufacturing, processing, transportation and storage
The SL700 series from Signatrol is a range of powerful and flexible, fully self contained portable data loggers with up to eight channels which are ideal for monitoring and recording a variety of physical parameters in food manufacturing, processing, transportation and storage.
Up to seven external sensors can be connected in addition to the internal temperature sensor to record humidity, pressure, voltage, current and pulse signals.
For temperature measurement, the internal cold junction sensor can be complemented by external thermocouple and RTD sensors.
Up to ten SL700 units can be networked together and accessed via modem link.
Sampling rates from 25 per second up to five days can be set and the units can be configured either on a 'fill then stop' or 'first in first out' basis.
Programming and data analysis is carried out quickly and effectively using the proprietary Windows software.
Data can be down loaded and either saved to disk or analysed immediately on screen.
Information is displayed in tabular or graphical format with full reporting facilities.
Data can also be incorporated into other spread sheet packages.
The flexibility of the SL700 can be radically extended by the use of Signatrol's thermal barrier boxes, which allow the loggers to operate at temperatures up to 350C.
The loggers are kept insulated and sealed inside the barrier's stainless steel box while sensors measure the external temperature.
This arrangement is ideal for oven temperature profiling to provide documentary evidence that products are reaching and maintaining the required cooking temperatures.
The barriers can travel through the oven with the food, thus providing meaningful and accurate temperature data.
The data can also be used to optimise cooking times thus maximising throughput and minimising energy usage The barrier units are equally suited to use in chillers, spiral freezers and blast freezers.
