Signatrol reckons its high performance SL7000 series of multichannel portable data loggers sets new standards in data logging.

The versatile array of inputs range from a single temperature input up to four universal inputs (RTD, thermocouple, frequency, milliamp, volt, millivolt, thermistor), combined with internal temperature and relative humidity capabilities.

An optional external temperature and RH sensor can also be connected and all units feature an isolated digital input which can be used as an event trigger or as a counter input, enabling up to 65,000 counts to be recorded per logging period.

The SL7000 establishes new accuracy levels with its ground breaking, yet cost effective, 16 bit resolution which takes laboratory precision out into the field.

As demands on companies for accurate data increase, Signatrol expect this level of performance to become the standard rather than the exception.

A maximum of 128,000 readings can be recorded during any logging session with programmable intervals from 1 second to 24 hours.

Unlike most competing units, where different models are needed for each specific application, the SL7000 is the real chameleon of data loggers with the capability of being user-configured for different applications.

This makes stock holding very straightforward and minimises product redundancy.

The SL7000 can be set up to start immediately, start on an "event" (eg measured parameter going above or below preset level), by way of an external digital input or by magnetic swipe via the supplied magnet.

This feature enables loggers to be set up in advance of the mission by a supervisor and launched at the start of the journey by an operator.

Attention to detail includes the user-replaceable internal battery system, which has a typical uninterrupted life of three years; a clear visual display (LED) of channel activity and alarm status; and measured parameter display by means of the optional LCD.

As with all Signatrol data loggers, the SL7000 shares a common software platform.

This unique capability ensures that users can implement different Signatrol data loggers throughout their organisation, confident in the knowledge they can seamlessly share and integrate data.

Temp-IT-Lite software is supplied free with the unit which enables the data parameters to be configured, uploaded and downloaded via a standard USB interface.

The package also allows data storage and graphing.

For a nominal charge, the Lite package can be upgraded via the telephone to TempIT-Pro, which provides the ultimate in data formatting, display and export, including features such as multi-logger trace overlays, data table display, emailing of graphs and mean kinetic temperature calculation.

The SL7000 is expected to find a wide range of applications in areas including transportation, storage, manufacture and research in the food, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, utilities, chemical and processing industries.
