The low-cost series 31 lock suits lockers, cabinets, storage boxes, mail boxes, drugs cabinets, deed boxes, chemical storage cabinets and tool cabinets.

The new series 31 lock from Camlock Systems is designed to provide OEMs with excellent value and a good level of security protection for lockers, cabinets, storage boxes, mail boxes, drugs cabinets, deed boxes, chemical storage cabinets and tool cabinets It is a 10-disc, double-entry camlock that provides good key security by using a large number of key combinations: 2000 as standard and up to 10,000 to special order

It provides designers, engineers, specifiers and buyers with the latest in lock design at a very competitive price.

Camlock Systems has designed the lock and used its expertise in security software to provide key combinations that reduce the incidence of "key crossover", a situation where one key can operate two or more locks with different key combinations.

The lock is available in three configurations: keyed to differ, master keyed and keyed alike.

Master key codes are allocated exclusively and can be registered under an "authorised signatory" system with the manufacturer, drastically reducing the possibility of keys being obtained by deceit.

The lock incorporates a positive-click index locking/unlocking action that prevents the locking cam from falling back under its own weight if keys are left in the lock.

The body length is 20mm.

A choice of key movements is available, including a 90-degree turn clockwise or anti-clockwise with the key free in the locked position only, or 180 degree turning clockwise or anti-clockwise with the key free when locked and unlocked.

The first of these key movements traps the key when the lock is unlocked, requiring users to lock the locker or cabinet before leaving and reducing the chance of the keys being lost.

The series 31 is finished in a bright chrome plate and offers excellent durability.

The keys are particularly strong to stand up to heavy usage.

The lock face and keys carry the key identification number.

The lock is available with a choice of fixing methods, with a brass body nut or a sprung horseshoe clip for fast fitting.

A wide range of 2.5 x 16mm zinc plated steel cams for use with the lock are available from stock, with special cams available to order.
