The new industry PC Box Lite 300 from Siemens Automation and Drives is particularly suitable for customer-specific products from low-volume to high-volume production.

It is robustly constructed and designed for continuous 24-hour operation and ambient temperatures between 5 and 45C.

At the same time, it is lower priced than comparable industrial PCs.

The price advantage stems from a PC that is tailored to customer requirements and which contains only the components that are actually required.

The Box Lite 300 is available with an Intel Celeron 2.0GHz or Intel Pentium 4 processor running at 2.4GHz and the RAM is expandable from 128Mbyte to 4Gbyte.

A 40Gbyte hard disk is fitted as standard, with the option of a CD-ROM drive.

The Box Lite 300 has a 10/100 Ethernet interface, four USB 2.0 ports and several serial interfaces.

Typical applications of the Box Lite 300 include operator terminals and visualisation and data processing tasks in logistics and building automation.
